The Local Area
The Suffolk coast has a wide variety of places to visit, whether it’s taking in a concert or boat trip at the Snape Maltings (right), shopping in Aldeburgh or enjoying some of the miles of scenic coastal and river walks, with the wide variety of birdlife.
Snape Maltings
Concerts - Every year, thousands of young people and amateurs in local orchestras, choirs and music groups perform at Snape, making it one of the most important community arts venues in the east, as
well as an internationally famous concert hall.
Shopping - From the classic to the contemporary, a huge range of goods are
on offer from fine foods, quality furniture, affordable British art to sparkling glassware, jewellery, antiques and traditional
children’s toys.

Boat trips - river trips from Snape Maltings are rich in both wildlife and history. Over 100 years ago, Snape Maltings quay was a busy port yet today you can appreciate the tranquillity of the swaying golden reeds and the wading birds. Viewing the Maltings from the river is truly magnificent.
